

Believe me in general I do not disagree that the vendors should be providing more documentation and or warnings and frankly it absurd that VMware doesn't get the picture to begin with however I've been in this industry for a long time and it is absolutely amazing how many users don't have a clue how to backup or even backup when they do and regardless of what is omitted by the vendor it ultimately it comes down to the User taking responsibility in doing whatever is necessary to insure they know and understand what they are doing and that they have valid backups and a recovery plan in place and if they don't then they better be paying someone to do it for them.
